*WHST HAPPENED:Girl Scouts and leaders from across South Florida who participated in the 44th Barefoot Mailman Hike last weekend and more than 300 Boy Scouts.The Barefoot Mailman Hike is held every year to commemorate the original barefoot mailmen who traveled a similar path along the beach to deliver mail from Palm Beach to Miami in the late 1800s. They took off their shoes to make it easier to walk.
